So you want to make money on Pinterest? Well of course you do!
A paid brand partnership is a relationship between you and the brand whereby you as the Creator creates content with a brand to promote their products on Pinterest. Pinterest does not get involved in brand partnerships. How to Land Brand Partnerships & Make Money on Pinterest? Creators must reach out to brands themselves.
If you want to Land Brand Partnerships & Make Money on Pinterest you don’t have to have a gazillion followers for brands to notice you. According to Pinterest brands love to work with those with even just 1K followers and they look closely at how you engage with your community. They want to see how effective you are in interacting with your fans. They will look at your metrics very closely too. Here are some things you need to do before reaching out to brands because first impressions are everything!
1. Make sure you account is set-up correctly and beautiful in every way.
2. Create a few Idea Pins because most of your brand partnerships will be focused on this type of image.
You will find the paid partnership tool when you are editing your Idea Pins on Pinterest. This makes it easy for Creators to simply tag a brand that they have a sponsorship or branded content relationship with. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Create an Idea Pin.
Step 2: On the Finishing touches screen, tap Advanced settings.
Step 3: Toggle on Add paid partnership label then select Add a brand partner.
Step 4: Search for the brand to tag. You can tag only one brand per Idea Pin. If the brand is not on Pinterest, you can still use the paid partnership label however their brand name will not appear, only the paid partnership label will show.
Step 5: Select Add beside their desired brand.
Step 6: Select Add on the Approval needed popup window. Before the request is submitted to the brand, the Idea Pin must be published.
Step 7: The selected brand now appears in the Advanced setting screen for review.
Step 8: Return to the Finishing touches screen and click Publish. As soon as you hit that publish button you cannot add the paid partnership label. You will need to create a new Idea Pin.
When it is published you will see the paid partnership label on the Idea Pin without the brand’s name. The brand will receive a notification email and they will have the option to approve or decline the tag. If the Creator has made an agreement with the brand before hand the paid partnership label will appear automatically when the Pin is published.
