With so much online competition eyeballs you want to make sure you’re creating the right types of content at the right time. You can’t wing this on Pinterest and think you can just post whatever or whenever you want. Creating great content matters if you want to grow audience engagement, grow your brand presence, and drive traffic & sales. Content marketing is critical to growing your business. That’s why you are going to love my 10 top Pinterest content ideas.
Content marketing is important because it answers your audience’s questions and helps you build trust, develop relationships, improve conversions, and generate leads. Your customers expect high-quality, consistent content from their favorite Pinterest creators and brands.
A content strategy is a plan in which you use your own content to achieve your business goals. A successful content strategy will attract your target audience at every stage of their buying journey and keep them engaged even after a purchase.
Say your business goal on Pinterest is to increase brand awareness. To achieve this, you might decide to share a blog post or offer a free download in exchange for their email address. You’re trying to build trust initially because you’re just starting out on Pinterest.
To develop a successful plan, you need to clearly define your target audience — also known as your buyer persona. I go over how to do that in detail in chapter 2 of my Pinterest Marketing for Business course. By knowing your target audience, you can produce more relevant and valuable content that they’ll want to read and convert on. This is one of the important keys to my 10 top Pinterest content ideas.

To remove platform seasonality, they then index the search volume against the volume of all searches on Pinterest. Pinterest normalize the trend line so that they can compare trends and better see what ideas are trending together.

Pinterest Expert Actionable Tips for Using Pinterest Trends
a. Plan your monthly content in a calendar based on searches
You can find search terms related to your product or service within Pinterest Trends. Use the results to create a list of keywords that may be worth targeting. Promote specific content related to the searches to reach your target audience.”
b. Looking for a new concept for your product/service
Determine what you products and services you can offer that will meet the needs of your target audience throughout their customer journey.
The Pinterest search engine is the first place most Pinners go to when searching for something. It’s literally giving us market intelligence about what people care most about today. Naturally Pinterest picks up on all this data and Pinterest will always show you the most popular keywords based on what you typed in the search box.
For example, if I type in HOME DECOR (as shown below) Pinterest will show me the most popular topics that people search for the highest search volume to the least. So, if you’re thinking about creating content around home décor it would be smart for you to start with living room ideas. You’ll also notice home styles from Zen, to Girly, Organic Modern, and more.
As you can see in my 10 top Pinterest content ideas there are many places where you can research to find the right content your audience will gobble up. Remember that if you’re new on Pinterest the first step is to establish your brand presence. I mean seriously, how will you court your audience? It starts with providing helpful content they care most about so that they can solve their problems and fulfill their lifelong dreams, goals, and aspirations. In that way, your audience will trust you and when they are ready to buy, they’ll think of you first because you were there for them during their buying journey when they needed you most.
Remember that images and videos is the starting point of connecting with your ideal audience. If your image doesn’t speak to their wants, needs, and problems they’re not going to click on that image. That means no outbound links going to your blog or website. No traffic = no sales. You need to get your images right.
