Welcome to my first post about fab-U-lous skin care for women!
I love finding out about the latest & greatest skin care ideas and treatments.
I can still remember the time when I was about seven years old and my mom would have her favorite facialist come to our house so she could get her egg white treatment. I can still see the white foam (her skin exfoliator) being spread all over her face, so relaxed and pampered like a queen. As she should. Moms deserve the best don’t they?
At a very young age my mom was already educating us about how to take care of our skin. I think if it weren’t for her influence I might have ended up being clueless about this stuff. This would be a major downer for me because I love it. If you read my bio you might recall reading something about my award winning luxury, wellness day spa that I created and managed for six years.
I am not totally against clinical skin care products but I do prefer clean beauty. I love that it is natural, plant based. There is just something comforting about it. It’s earthy. Somehow, especially as a skin exfoliator it gives me peace of mind that I’m not polluting my body with excessive chemical ingredients that could be considered harmful. I have used both clean beauty and clinical and my selection for any given treatment depends on what I am trying to achieve or fix.
In this post I’m going to reveal an amazing skin exfoliator product that I just tried. I kid you not!
I’m so excited to share with you because the results were truly amazing. SERIOUSLY. When you get great results I don’t care how much something costs. If it works, great! Let’s buy more; because here’s the thing; if you buy a product that didn’t give you the results you were after then that to me is expensive.
God I love Sephora! It’s like a candy store for chicks. I love the selection, you get free samples and makeovers with your points, and if something doesn’t work or if I get an allergic reaction no problem it’s refundable. I only buy my stuff at Sephora. I don’t go anywhere else which saves me time when I’m hunting for the next latest and greatest.
So when I got an email offer from Sephora for a free 7 day-trial of Good Genes by Sunday Riley I thought hey let’s give this a try. I have never tried lactic acid skin exfoliator for exfoliating my face so I was intrigued.
I’m going to reveal:
Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment is an alpha hydroxy acid used in skin care products and professional treatments. Lactic acid is used as a skin exfoliator to exfoliate the skin, lighten dark spots, and improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Good Genes is formulated with powerful actives and soothing botanicals. And it’s; cruelty-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, soy-free, phthalate-free, fragrance-free, vegan.
It deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly lightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in three minutes.
Studies have shown that lactic acid can stimulate collagen production.
My skin tends to be dehydrated especially during fall and winter and what’s amazing about lactic acid is that is hydrating even while it’s exfoliating. It can actually help hydrate skin by pulling in water to the outer skin layer. How cool is that? Some exfoliants can irritate and dry out the skin which causes them to be sensitive so I just think this is awesome.
This skin exfoliator is perfect for
It is so easy and simple to use! No mess, no fuss.
This is NOT your standard face exfoliator where you scrub your face with tiny microbeads. It’s a leave-on treatment! It’s a great time saver when I’m doing my weekly at-home spa facials. That means you DON’T wash it off which I love since this saves me an extra step in my skin care routine.
Step 1: Wash your face with your favorite cleanser and pat your skin to dry.
Step 2: Use Indee Lee CoQ-10 alcohol-free toner.
Step 3: Apply 2-3 drops of Sunday Riley’s Luna Sleeping Night Oil all over your face (except eyes) and neck.
Step 4: Apply 1-2 pumps of Good Genes day or night. Avoid the eye area. I personally would use this at night because that’s when your skin is repairing.
Step 5: Finish off with your eye cream and moisturizer. I personally use Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream and for my eye treatment I use Sunday Riley’s Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream.
After one use of Good Genes I could already see the results.
After a couple of days I could see my dark spots get lighter and my skin was plumper, you can barely see my fine lines, my skin look radiant and flawless! This is seriously the BEST skin exfoliator I have ever tried!
After I finished my 7-day free sample I was sold! My skin even looked pore-less and now my pigmentation is hardly noticeable. I don’t need to use my heavy duty concealer! YAY! I was sold! I am going to stock up on these babies.
Samples work! What I mean by that is that if you happen to sell skin care products include a sample with every product. And preferably a sample where they will see immediate results. I know this from my own experience running my spa. We had the best sales record because of this one tactic.
Exfoliation is a must-have ladies! Of all skin care products a skin exfoliator is mandatory. It is what will get you instant results compared to say a cleanser or toner. But the beautiful thing about lactic acid is you don’t have to panic that something horrible can happen to your face. It’s powerful but gentle too. The result? Gorgeous, radiant, clear skin that will get you a double look. ☺
